Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend coverage required, though scheduling may vary based on facility need
* Floating to other units and/or campuses is required based on census needs
* Patient population consists of adults and geriatrics with a 1:5 day ratio and 1:5-6 night ratio
* Common patient diagnoses include respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues
* Must have MS/Tele skill set and competencies as floating to MS/Tele floors may be required
* Must pass an EKG exam prior to assignment
* Medication system used is Omnicell
* Documentation system is EPIC with a minimum of 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and South Carolina RN license
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the field required
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, peripheral line care, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, use of rapid response and code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Charge RN is present every shift to facilitate flow and oversee operations

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a daily census of approximately 20 patients. The unit maintains a healthy work environment with strong teamwork and dedicated charge RN support on every shift. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services and is equipped with modern medication and documentation systems to support high-quality patient care.
