Job Details:

* 5x8-hour day shifts
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Unit specialties include General, Ortho, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain
* On-call responsibility split between 3 RNs, averaging 10 shifts per month, including rotating weekends
* May be required to recover patients when on call
* Care provided for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Proficiency with the following surgical skills required: lobe resection, lung resection/thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, closed reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, open reduction of fractures, ortho/spine, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and transurethral resection of the prostate
* Additional competencies required: fire safety, cell saver, administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, and wound management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This healthcare facility is a full-service hospital offering a broad range of surgical specialties across a 73-bed unit with 5 operating rooms and a daily census of 7. The facility supports a wide variety of surgical procedures and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary services to ensure quality patient care across all age groups.
