RN - Med/Tele

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment working rotating weekend shifts
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* Work on a Med/Tele unit performing general medical-surgical nursing care
* Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele specialty experience required
* Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Active Texas RN License required - temporary licenses are NOT accepted; active compact RN license accepted
* Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
* Floating to other units on an as-needed basis
* Perform procedures including IV initiation, nasogastric tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and assistance with activities of daily living
* Responsible for decisions and actions within nursing practice including promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment
* Must be competent in patient experience standards including AIDET, Bedside Reporting, Hourly Rounding, and Service Recovery Steps (LEARN)
* Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue with facility embroidery - proof of purchase required
* Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails only - no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails permitted
* Hair must be neat, clean, and free of extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
* Body art must be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings
