Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Cardiac Care Unit

Job Details:

* Work in a 34-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU)
* Patient ratios of 1:5 for PCU level and 1:6 for MST level
* Day shift staffing includes 11 PCTs and 12 RNs; Night shift includes 6 PCTs and 13 RNs
* Work with equipment including VS machines, EKG, bladder scanning, glucometers, and continuous pulse oximetry
* EMR system: Meditech
* No on-call requirement
* Floating requirement within scope of practice
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Preferred certifications: PCCN, TNCC, TCAR
* Experience in ICU/PCU level of care preferred; precepting experience a plus
* Typical procedures include Foley and NGT insertions and wound care
* Unit is the official trauma PCU for the hospital
* Flexible scheduling and positive work culture
* Ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, a quick learner, and maintains a positive attitude

Facility:

This facility is a main hospital building housing a Progressive Cardiac Care Unit that has recently been designated as the official trauma PCU. The unit is actively upskilling medical-surgical staff to manage PCU level patients and maintains a strong focus on professional development and positive workplace culture. The unit supports a collaborative environment with a well-staffed team across both day and night shifts.
