Opportunity:

RAPID RESPONSE

Job Details:

* 6-week rapid response assignment
* 48 hours guaranteed per week with overtime after 48 hours
* No RTO or special scheduling accommodations available
* Every other weekend scheduling required
* No floating outside of the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
* 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
* Dress code: Navy scrubs required
* Patient ratio is typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
* 101-bed emergency department unit
* Documentation system: Cerner
* Equipment used: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
* Patient experience requirements include AIDET, respectful behavior, updated boards with patient information throughout visit
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits)
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
* Previous HCA experience preferred
* Must have teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
* Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all required before start date); ENPC within 90 days of hire

This emergency department is a high-volume facility featuring a 101-bed unit serving a diverse, multi-cultural community with over 120 languages represented in the surrounding area. The department is well-equipped with modern technology and staffed by experienced teams known for their teamwork and welcoming environment. Specialty support includes cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerk coverage on both day and night shifts.
