Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Rapid response assignment for 6 weeks with 48 hours required
* 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Guaranteed hours: 36-40 hours per week
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* No RTO or special scheduling
* Work on a high-risk obstetrical unit with 24 beds
* Patient ratios: 2:1 for most patients, 3:1 for OBED triage, with AWHONN staffing ratios maintained approximately 80% of the time
* Specific ratios: cervical ripening 2:1, triage 3:1, stable postpartum mag 2:1, unstable or laboring mag 1:1, pit or active labor 1:1, early labor 2:1
* Perform and assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C procedures, and post-delivery recovery care
* Circulate in C-section and recover high acuity patients
* Minimum 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience required
* Experience with high-risk obstetrical bedside care required
* Document using Meditech and CPN systems
* Operate GE fetal monitors
* May be required to float to antepartum unit within Women's department as needed
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certificate, NRP
* Dress code: scrubs required, no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails, hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer, visible piercings other than ears prohibited, body art must be covered whenever possible

Facility:

This facility is a women's hospital with a dedicated labor and delivery unit located on the 9th floor of Building D. The unit specializes in high-risk obstetrical care and supports a wide range of procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and post-delivery recovery. The facility maintains strong staffing ratios in line with AWHONN standards and utilizes modern fetal monitoring equipment and electronic documentation systems to support quality patient care.
