Job Details:

* Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department, including 8 behavioral health rooms in a locked unit
* Shift times available at 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, or 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend rotation required
* Holiday coverage as needed per unit
* Patient ratio of 1:4-5 RN with potential for 1:5-6 with low acuity patients
* Treat diverse patient types including psych, trauma, general medical, sepsis, cardiac, stroke, abdominal pain, and chest pain
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Level 3 or higher trauma center required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MOAB/CPI, TNCC
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Skills required include RSI, conscious sedation, lines/drains/tubes, and general ER skills
* Utilize Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system
* Bedside and centralized telemetry monitoring
* Support staff available including CNA/ER Techs, Receptionist/HUC, Charge Nurse, Resource Nurse, Respiratory Therapy (24/7), Hospitalist (24/7), and Physicians/mid-level providers
* No floating required
* Scrub color must be any professional, solid color
* Free parking available on-site

This is a 388-bed hospital operating as a Level 3 Trauma Center and Level 3 NICU, providing comprehensive emergency and specialty care services. The facility maintains a robust support structure within its Emergency Department, including around-the-clock respiratory therapy and hospitalist coverage, as well as physicians and mid-level providers. The unit is known for its strong teamwork culture and is equipped with modern technology to support high-quality patient care.
