Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* CRT or RRT credentials will be considered; RRT required unless candidate has extensive experience with CRT credentials (manager approval required)
* Day shift hours: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM; Night shift hours: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Variable shifts available - most needs are on nights; traveler will not be required to flip between days and nights within the same week
* Every other weekend rotation required
* Voluntary call only - 2 hours before shift start time and 2 hours after
* Holidays assigned as scheduled unless RTO is included in contract; RTO must be approved through manager
* Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist required
* First-time travelers will be considered
* Required certifications for Adult RT: BLS; NICU/PICU/Peds RT: BLS and NRP required, PALS preferred
* Critical care experience required including airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue and rapid response experience, and inhaled medication administration
* Experience with ventilators required: Servo U, Servo I, Hamilton T1, Trilogy, V60, V30, EV300
* Vero Biotech Nitric Delivery system experience a plus
* If position is for NICU/PICU/Peds, previous NICU/PICU experience as well as adult experience required; experience with Oscillator 3100 Sensormatic and Drager ventilator preferred
* Must confirm comfort working with adult patients if assigned to NICU/PICU/Peds unit
* Float to other trained units only
* Orientation includes 1 general orientation shift with RT Educator and 1 shift per each unit trained to (generally 4-5 shifts total)
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Any professional scrub color or pattern; access to OR scrub machines available
* Free on-site parking provided

Facility:

This facility is a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center offering comprehensive critical care services across multiple treatment areas including three adult ICUs, a Cardiac Critical Care Unit, an Intermediate Care Unit, a Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department, General Medical Floors, and a Level III NICU and PICU. The respiratory therapy team is highly critical care focused and protocol-driven, supported by a strong departmental structure including a Lead/Charge, Manager, Assistant Manager, RT Educator, and Medical Director.
