Job Details:

* 13 or 26 week assignment length
* Night shift schedule working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Self-scheduling
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
* Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
* May float to like units if needed to meet facility needs
* Block scheduling not available
* Locals not accepted - permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility
* All requested time off must be included at time of submission and is approved on an individual basis
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Parking is free
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, NRP
* Work in a high-risk L&D unit with 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
* Average daily deliveries around 7 with up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
* OB Triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients plus an influx of triage patients daily
* Patient population includes adolescents and adults
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries
* Special procedures include cervical cerclage, cesarean section, hysterectomy, and D&C
* Key skills include labor and delivery, high-risk antepartum, neonatal resuscitation, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin administration, fetal heart rate monitoring, and postpartum hemorrhage management
