Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
* Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
* Home unit is 5SE with potential to float to any medical/surgical unit on any campus
* 47-bed department in a Level 1 Trauma, acute care setting
* Care for medical/surgical and surgical oncology patients
* Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues including physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
* Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise utilizing age and population specific standards
* Equipment used includes EMR Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry
* Minimum 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience in a larger hospital (200+ beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center required
* Travel experience required unless candidate has multiple years of experience in a large Level 1 facility
* Surgical oncology experience preferred but not required
* EPIC experience required
* Active North Dakota or Compact RN license required
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)
* Scrubs: Navy Blue
* All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
* Orientation includes 1 day lead center training and 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor
* Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks

This large acute care facility operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center with a minimum of 200 beds, providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The facility features a dedicated medical/surgical unit with specialized surgical oncology capabilities and utilizes advanced technology including Epic EMR, Phillips monitors, and telemetry systems. The organization maintains a structured orientation program and fosters a collaborative inter-professional environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
