Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
* Rotating schedule between day and night shifts based on unit needs - schedule cycles may vary between days and nights
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 during day shift (7:00 AM - 11:00 PM) and 1:5-6 during night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
* 32-bed medical-surgical unit, all single rooms
* Provide nursing care to adult patients including head-to-toe and focused assessments, medication administration, and patient/family education
* Communicate with interdisciplinary team and advocate for patients as needed
* Document all patient cares accurately and thoroughly
* May be required to float to other med-surg units and locations as needed
* Equipment utilized includes EPIC, OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, Language Line, and Zebra phones
* Orientation includes 8-hour classroom training followed by 24 hours of unit training
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Must badge in and out at facility
* Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds) required
* Level 1 trauma center experience required
* Travel nursing experience required
* EPIC experience required - must be noted on resume
* Active BLS certification (AHA) required
* Active ND or Compact RN License required
* BSN not required

The facility features a 32-bed medical-surgical unit with all single-patient rooms and is equipped with modern technology including EPIC charting and advanced monitoring systems.
