Job Details:

* Labor and Delivery unit with an average of 6-8 deliveries per day
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* 36 orientation hours required
* Float required to Mother Baby unit
* No on-call required
* Weekend coverage required - every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit need
* Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays
* Scheduling preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed; scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 1.5 years is a hard stop
* AWHONN Advanced certification is a hard stop requirement - must have a passing designation
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP
* Epic charting system experience required
* Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision - hard stop requirement
* Triage experience is a hard stop requirement
* Scrub color: Royal Blue for RN; L&D/OR scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* Facility has 2 ORs and 15 beds across 13 rooms
* Patient diagnoses include labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor, antepartum, and high-risk antepartum
* Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Skills required include but are not limited to: sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, external and internal fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, C-section circulating and scrubbing, newborn assessment, postpartum hemorrhage management, and hemorrhage/shock response
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
