Opportunity:
Fetal Echo Sonographer
Job Details:
* Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule with no call and no weekends
* Day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Perform fetal echocardiography exclusively (not fetal ultrasound)
* Utilize high frequency sound waves and diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images for physician diagnosis
* Obtain, review, and compile pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data to facilitate diagnostic results
* Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and differentiating artifacts from normal or pathological processes
* Utilize 2D optimization and 3D manipulation techniques with ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic information
* Provide interpreting physicians with oral summaries and preliminary written reports of diagnostic findings
* Collaborate with fetal radiologists, MFM physicians, and surgical teams to provide diagnostic imaging and guidance during fetal surgical procedures
* Assist with teaching Fellows, visitors, and new departmental staff
* May participate in clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease including measuring and analyzing echocardiographic data
* Patient population includes neonates, infants, and pediatrics
* Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography required
* Experience on Samsung Hera W10 fetal cardiac systems preferred
* Associate's degree in a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
* Required certifications: ARDMS RDCS-FE (Fetal Echocardiography) and ARDMS RDCS-PE (Pediatric)
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Ohio single state or multi-state license required
* Travel experience required
* Candidates may float within the hospital, potentially to Liberty campus
* In-depth training will be provided
