Opportunity:

Ultrasound Technologist

Job Details:

* Work 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift
* Weekend availability required
* On-call requirement included
* Floating to other locations required
* Blocked scheduling not accommodated
* Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced ultrasound imaging procedures
* Support other imaging technologists as needed and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow
* Handle movement, set-up, and operation of medical ultrasound equipment
* Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed
* Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and image archiving system
* Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS
* Follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate issues to PACS administrator as needed
* Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within scope of licensure
* 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred
* Basic computer experience required
* Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or equivalent required
* BLS certification via AHA required
* State licensure required if working in New Mexico; DMS by MIRTP NMED required
* Required certification - one of the following: Sonography (S) by ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS, or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS
* Preferred additional certification - one of the following: Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT, Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT, Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS
