Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry/Cardiac
Job Details:
* Work with patient types including rhythm disturbances, heart failure, MI, CCL recovery, and MS overflow
* Patient ratios: Days 1:3-5, Nights 1:5-6
* 24-bed unit with telemetry tech unit monitoring
* Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardene, Heparin, Dilt, Dopamine, and others
* Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran
* Every 3rd weekend schedule required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) unless unit is closed
* Dress code: Navy blue solid scrubs
* EMR: EPIC experience required
* Minimum 24 months of experience in Telemetry/Cardiac, Stepdown, or Progressive Care required
* Experience with ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) and pacemaker patient populations required
* Cardiac rhythm experience required
* Cardiac drip/titration experience required
* Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted with at least 12 months of Med/Tele, Cardiac/Tele, or PCU experience completed
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
* Active Iowa nursing license required

This healthcare facility is a large, multi-campus health system offering comprehensive cardiac and telemetry services. The facility operates a 24-bed unit equipped to handle complex cardiac cases and provides 24/7 telemetry monitoring support.
