RRT - Adult

Job Details:

* Active New Jersey license required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT (CRT not accepted)
* Minimum 1.5 years of strong overall ICU experience required
* Work settings include Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department (PICU/NICU experience highly preferred)
* Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia
* Vent management skills required: BiPAP, CPAP, flow-by, high-frequency jet ventilator/oscillator, IMV, SIMV, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
* Airway management skills required: extubation, intubation assist, nasal/oral airway placement and suctioning, sputum specimen collection, suctioning (ETT, NT), and tracheostomy care/management
* General skills required: bronchoscopy, drawing and interpreting ABGs, ET tube, HFNC, hand-held/heated nebulizer, T-piece/trach collar, and iNO
* Neonatal/pediatric skills required: CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency jet ventilator, and oscillating ventilator
* Epic charting system experience required
* Every other weekend requirement
* Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays if needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Must float between ED and Adult ICUs within skillset without exception
* First-time travelers and local candidates accepted

This facility features a renowned Pulmonary and Critical Care Program that provides adult pulmonary and critical care services, including a tertiary-referral medical ICU for complex, multisystem, and life-threatening illnesses. The hospital is a 700+ bed adult facility and a state-designated Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in New Jersey, as well as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility offers advanced bronchoscopic technology and multidisciplinary care involving thoracic surgery, cardiac services, and other specialties, and is part of New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system.
