This large healthcare facility operates a high-volume critical care environment with 200 beds and a daily census of 170 patients. The cardiac ICU is particularly active, with multiple open heart surgeries performed every day. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility does not have an intermediate floor, meaning many acute care patients require a higher level of care than a typical floor patient.
