Opportunity:

RAPID RESPONSE

Job Details:

* 6-week assignment with 48 hours guaranteed per week, overtime after 48 hours
* RTO and special scheduling requests will not be accommodated
* Every other weekend scheduling required
* Block scheduling is not available; scheduling must meet the needs of the department
* 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
* Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
* Must be flexible to float to all sections within the ED; no floating outside of the ED
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
* Previous HCA experience preferred
* Must have teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
* Equipment used includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
* Documentation system: Cerner
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS required before start date; ENPC required within 90 days of hire
* Dress code: Navy scrubs required
* Must follow AIDET standards, respectful behavior practices, and update patient boards throughout visit
* Mileage reimbursement available based on distance from facility

The department serves a highly diverse, multicultural community with over 120 languages represented in the surrounding area. The unit is supported by technicians in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks available on both day and night shifts.
