Opportunity:
RAPID RESPONSE
Job Details:
* Rapid response assignment with a 6-week duration
* 48 hours guaranteed per week with overtime after 48 hours
* No RTO or special scheduling accommodations
* 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
* Every other weekend scheduling required
* No block scheduling available - scheduling must meet the needs of the department
* No floating outside of the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
* Patient ratio of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
* 101-bed Emergency Department
* Documentation system: Cerner
* Equipment used: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
* Required dress code: Navy scrubs
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS before start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
* Must demonstrate teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
* Previous HCA experience preferred
* Patient experience standards include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards updated throughout the visit

This facility is a high-volume emergency department located within a large regional health system, known for its comprehensive care capabilities including Level 2 trauma and stroke center services. The department is staffed with experienced professionals and supported by cardiac monitoring units, internal processing areas, triage, and unit clerks on both day and night shifts. The team is recognized for their strong sense of teamwork and welcoming environment, proudly serving a diverse, multi-cultural community with over 120 languages represented in the surrounding area.
