Opportunity:
RAPID RESPONSE
Job Details:
* Rapid response assignment with 6-week contract
* 48 hours guaranteed with overtime after 48 hours
* RTO and special scheduling will not be accommodated
* 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
* Every other weekend scheduling required
* No floating outside of the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
* Cannot commit to block scheduling; scheduling must meet the needs of the department
* Patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
* 101-bed emergency department unit
* Techs available working in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
* Documentation system: Cerner
* Equipment used: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
* Patient experience requirements: AIDET, respectful behavior, patient experience standards, boards updated with info and patient updated throughout visit
* Required dress code: Navy scrubs
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all before start date); ENPC within 90 days of hire
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
* Previous HCA experience preferred
* Must have teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

This facility is a large, high-volume emergency department with 101 beds, serving a diverse and multicultural community with over 120 languages spoken in the surrounding area. The department is known for its strong teamwork culture and welcoming environment, and is equipped with modern technology including Baxter pumps and GE monitors. The emergency department operates 24/7 with comprehensive support services and maintains high standards for patient experience and care delivery.
