Opportunity:

Surg Tech - CVOR

Job Details:

* 10/27 start date needed
* Manager interviews required
* CVOR operating hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, four days per week
* No weekends for standard CVOR schedule; however, surgical technologists may have more than 1 weekend day per 4-week schedule cycle
* Weekend shift will be the shift they are hired into - either Saturday or Sunday, but not both
* 4-week schedule cycle
* Call requirement is negotiable with a 30-minute response time required; no sleep room available
* Minimal holiday expectations - only major holidays are observed in this OR
* 2-day orientation with a preceptor
* Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
* At least 1 prior travel assignment preferred
* Case types include CABG, AVR, MVR, and Ascending Aortic Repairs
* Typically 3-4 cases per day across 2 CVOR operating rooms
* Experience with CABG, AVR, MVR, and Ascending Aortic Repair case types required
* Must be comfortable wearing lead
* Required certifications: BLS; CST preferred but not required
* EMR system: Cerner
* IV pumps: Alaris
* Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Surgical scrubs provided
* Free parking available
* No floating required

Facility:

This facility is a 411-licensed bed hospital operating as a Level II Trauma Center with a well-supported surgical services department. The CVOR unit consists of 2 dedicated operating rooms with a robust support team including supervisors, assistant managers, team leads for each service line, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, anesthesia technicians, orderlies, equipment representatives, charge RNs, an OR educator, and 24/7 respiratory therapy coverage.
