Job Details:

* Work 10-hour shifts with available schedules of Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Evenings: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
* Work every other weekend, including Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* No block schedules required
* Patient ratio of 7
* Float to sister hospital ED (Holy Family Hospital) to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Work in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room department
* Conduct crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatric patients
* Evaluate patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant, directed by ED attending provider or APP
* Assess risk for danger to self, danger to others, or grave disability
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and mental health assessments
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning, care coordination, and case management
* Document pertinent information to facilitate care coordination
* Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
* Must hold full independent clinical licensure - associate license will not suffice
* Required licensure: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW/LCSW)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; hospital experience preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Any color
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital operating as both a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it provides a dynamic and educational environment for healthcare professionals. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers no-cost parking for staff. The organization supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, particularly in its Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department.
