Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Option to work 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with no call, or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with call requirement
* If selecting 3x12s, at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly is required
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required; no first-time travelers accepted
* Travel experience required
* NICU Level II and Level III experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and SC license
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Unit system: Pyxis/Omnicell
* Patient population: Neonates 22 weeks gestation and greater
* Patient diagnoses include: abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP
* Special procedures include: Full Body Cooling, Chest Tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery
* Special equipment includes: Arctic Sun, Blanketrol, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy
* Unit capacity: 41 beds/rooms with a daily census of 38 patients
* Orientation: 40 hours, conducted every Monday

This facility is a large health system operating multiple campuses across South Carolina, offering a comprehensive range of specialty and acute care services. The NICU unit is a high-acuity environment supporting complex neonatal cases including surgical anomalies, therapeutic hypothermia, and advanced respiratory management. The facility utilizes EPIC as its primary documentation system and maintains an interdisciplinary care model with interpretation services available to support diverse patient populations.
