Opportunity:
RN - House Supervisor / ICU
Job Details:
* Promote and restore patient health through day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area
* Direct and develop nursing staff while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional teams
* Provide physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families
* Float between RN House Supervisor and ICU RN roles depending on facility census
* Serve as emergency event leader for Code Blue and Rapid Response situations
* Provide care for critically ill patients including ventilator management and tracheostomy care
* Perform venipuncture and IV initiation
* Maintain nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
* Monitor and maintain compliance with state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements
* Maintain documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records
* Facility uses paper charting
* Minimum 4 years of recent RN House Supervisory and ICU Supervisory hospital experience required
* Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, time management, and organizational abilities
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (both must be through the American Heart Association)
* Texas RN license or multi-state license required
