RN - Perinatal

Job Details:

* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Full-time position
* Practice independently in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
* Provide routine and complex nursing care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
* Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
* Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal setting preferred
* RN License in state of TX or compact required
* Current certification in NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM required
* Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
* Current ACLS certification (AHA only) required
* Current NRP certification required
