Opportunity:

RN - Infusion

Job Details:

* Assess patient condition before, during, and after infusion treatments
* Review medical history, laboratory results, and treatment orders prior to administration
* Monitor vital signs and patient responses throughout treatment
* Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV and injectable medications
* Access and manage vascular devices including ports, PICC lines, and central lines
* Follow strict protocols for safe handling of hazardous drugs
* Ensure accurate dosage calculations and infusion rates
* Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications such as allergic reactions or extravasation
* Provide emergency intervention when needed
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans, potential side effects, and symptom management
* Provide guidance on infection prevention and self-care during treatment
* Support patients emotionally throughout the therapy process
* Collaborate with providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
* Document treatment administration, patient responses, and side effects in electronic medical records
* Active Wisconsin RN license required
* Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
* BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
* ACLS required or obtained within 1 year of hire
* Current ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card required or obtained within 6 months of hire
