Opportunity:

FMC Oncology Clinic - Medical Assistant

Job Details:

* Monday through Thursday shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM
* No on-call responsibilities
* Float required - may travel to other clinics to provide coverage
* 13-week contract
* Daily patient load of approximately 20 patients
* Work with adult and geriatric patient age groups
* Ambulatory clinic work setting experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, and either CMA or RMA (national certification required)
* Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required
* Required skills include obtaining vital signs, obtaining health history, blood glucose via glucometer, height/weight measurements, pulse oximetry, telephone triage, and pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
* Preferred experience includes immunizations, flu shots, IM injections, venipuncture, 12-lead EKG, administering medications, dressing changes, and suture removal
* Preferred experience in family practice, medical, surgical, and oncology clinic settings
* Acute care outpatient experience preferred
* Documentation system used is Cerner (experience preferred)
* Must be comfortable floating without restrictions within the facility or to other clinic locations
* Must be available to work 2 facility-recognized holidays during the contract
