Job Details:
* 36 or 48 hour shift options available per week
* 2 years of experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Rotating weekend shifts required
* Float to like units within scope required based on facility needs
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 32-bed unit caring for adult patients
* 12 hours of orientation provided onsite
* Up to one pre-approved time off request per contract
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* LTAC experience preferred
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula management, hypothermia protocol, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and suctioning
* Patient diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, CHF, overdose, post-op complications, DKA, GI bleeds, surgical high risk, and dialysis CRRT
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy

This facility is a community hospital with a 32-bed intensive care unit dedicated to providing comprehensive critical care services for adult patients. The unit supports a wide range of complex medical and surgical diagnoses and is equipped with robust interdisciplinary support services. The facility maintains a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and offers a collaborative care environment with access to physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
