Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour shift option available
* Weekend shifts required
* Float required within scope to like units as needed based on facility needs
* 2 years of experience preferred
* First time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Charting system experience required; Epic system used
* Patient ratio of 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Self-scheduling
* 12 orientation hours required
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit capacity of 30 beds with daily census of 24
* Must be proficient in skills including: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry monitoring, total joint replacement, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* 50 mile local radius enforced; locals not accepted
