Opportunity:

Med Surg Neuro Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position on a Med/Surg Neuro unit with 32 beds
* 36 or 48 hour per week schedule options available, with 48 hours straight time allowed
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
* No on-call required
* Floating to like units as needed
* Self-scheduling
* 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Neuro experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS (pending okay)
* CPI certification preferred
* Charting via Epic
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA management, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drain care, and wound care/wound vac
* Rapid response team activation support available
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
