Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapist
Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts available on both day shift (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and night shift (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
* Rotating weekends approximately every 3rd weekend depending on staffing
* Holiday coverage required: 2 out of 3 winter holidays and every other holiday otherwise
* No on-call or standby call requirements
* Handle 20-25 treatments per day per respiratory therapist with typically 2 RTs per shift
* Work across multiple areas including inpatient, ER, ICU, medical-surgical floors, and facility emergencies
* Primarily adult patient population with minimal pediatric and neonatal cases
* Perform basic respiratory therapies, ABGs, EKGs, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilator management including intubation weaning and extubation
* Assist with intubation and insert king airways in emergency situations prior to provider arrival
* May be asked to cover high-risk deliveries at very low frequency
* Must be proficient with ventilators (PB980, PB840, SurvoU, LTV1200, Hamilton), BiPAP/CPAP (V60, Home ResMed), and high flow (Optiflow)
* Chart accurately and in a timely manner using Cerner
* All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
* Travel experience preferred
* Previous experience with ventilators, BiPAP, basic RT treatments, EKGs, and intubation assistance required
* Scrub color requirement: Dark Green
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS (AHA), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC - CRT not accepted
* Wisconsin state license required

This acute care facility operates a robust respiratory therapy department supporting patients across inpatient, emergency, ICU, and medical-surgical settings. The facility maintains 24/7 hospitalist coverage, an intensivist on-site for the majority of the day, and eICU support for overnight needs. The department utilizes a structured orientation program and modern respiratory equipment to ensure high-quality patient care.
