Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week including every other weekend and holidays in rotation
* Unit contains 29 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6
* Care for telemetry patients and post cardiac procedure patients including PCI, PPM, ICD, and ablations
* Proficiency in reading telemetry strips required
* Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, and Dobutamine
* Perform phlebotomy and administer breathing treatments including inhalers and nebulizers
* Provide Foley catheter care and maintenance with nurse driven protocols for removal
* Utilize i-mobile phones, mobile computer workstations on wheels, mobilab for lab draws, and Alaris IV pumps
* Document using Meditech system
* Conduct bedside shift report handoffs using AIDET and RN/MD rounding protocols
* Develop plans of care every shift and collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments
* Assist with discharge planning and patient education
* Travelers are first to float and may be sent to the emergency department for inpatient holds, telemetry monitoring room, or PCU
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
* One previous successful travel nursing assignment required
* Minimum 30 months of RN or LPN nursing experience required
* Navy uniform required
