Opportunity:

WA LICSW Psych ED

Job Details:

* Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
* Work every other weekend, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* Position may float to sister hospital emergency department to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Work in the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room department
* Conduct crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatric patients
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments and mental health evaluations
* Provide crisis intervention and level of care recommendations as a consultant directed by an ED attending provider or APP
* Evaluate patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder for risk of danger to self, danger to others, or grave disability
* Coordinate care and facilitate discharge and contingency planning
* Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
* Patient ratio of 7
* Must have full independent clinical licensure - associate license will not suffice
* Required licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3 years preferred
* Hospital experience preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Washington state compact license must be in hand at submission

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation, operating 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it supports a wide range of clinical specialties and provides comprehensive emergency services for both adult and pediatric populations. The emergency department is supported by an interdisciplinary team and utilizes Epic for charting.
