Opportunity:
Stanyan 12 Hr Nights
Job Details:
* 12-hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required with 26 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Ability to float to other facilities within 75+ mile radius may be required
* One pre-approved time off request permitted
* 12 orientation hours required
* Cares for adult and geriatric patient populations
* 2 years of experience required with Medical and Surgical ICU experience
* BSN required
* Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* California RN license required
* Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care/management, blood product administration, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, ICP monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), massive transfusion protocol, pre/post hemodialysis management, TPN/lipids, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy

This is a large academic medical center and teaching hospital offering a high level of specialty care across multiple departments and disciplines. The facility features a 16-bed ICU unit with a daily census of 8-9 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
