Opportunity:
LVN - Outpatient
Job Details:
* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
* Possibly 1 weekend per month to assist the Urgent Care location if needed
* Floating required
* No on-call requirements
* 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting required
* Travel experience required
* Active California LVN license with valid CA IV certification required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC only), IV and Blood Withdrawal
* Phlebotomy and IV start skills required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Supports physician and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing patient care assessments and a variety of medically related tasks
* Sets up exam and procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs
* Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination
* Reviews current medications and documents in the medical record prior to patient examination
* Prepares medical chart and records patient information including vital signs and reason for visit
* Administers prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications using best practice
* Skills include: blood glucose monitoring, crutch walking, ear and eye drops, Foley catheter insertion, IM and SQ injections, isolation precautions/PPE, medication reconciliation, nasal cannula, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, IV insertion and maintenance, telephone triage, vaccine administration, vital sign monitoring, and wound care
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated

This outpatient facility operates as a primary care clinic with a daily census of 350 patients, providing comprehensive ambulatory care services. The facility supports a multidisciplinary team environment where LVNs work alongside physicians and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. The organization maintains an urgent care location and utilizes Epic as its electronic health records system to ensure efficient and accurate patient documentation.
