Open Position: RN - NICU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2884.72

Opportunity:

RN - NICU-Based Float Pool

Job Details:

* 37.5 hours per week
* Every other weekend requirement (Saturday and Sunday)
* Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Float pool position requiring rotation between NICU Level III, Newborn Nursery, PICU, and Pediatrics - floating is required without exception
* Appropriate patient assignment based on skill set will be provided when floated
* Patient ratios vary based on unit, acuity, census, and staffing
* EPIC charting system experience required
* 1.5 years of experience required with documented NICU Level III and PICU experience
* Active NJ or Compact license required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
* IV therapy skills required: arterial line management, central line/implanted line care, UAC/UVC, IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
* Cardiac/respiratory skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
* GI/neuro skills required: feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, neonatal abstinence syndrome
* Dress code: Navy pants with pediatric top

Facility:

This facility features a 56-bed Level III NICU and serves as a Regional Perinatal Center caring for more than 1,200 premature and ill newborns annually. The PICU provides comprehensive medical and surgical care supported by full-time pediatric critical care physicians and pediatric subspecialists. The facility is a 597-bed teaching hospital and a major teaching affiliate of a prominent New Jersey medical school, and is part of New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system.
