Job Details:

* Friday through Sunday shift schedule
* 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
* No on-call required
* Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
* Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand up to 5 hours
* Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off
* Scrub color: Green
* Charting system: Epic
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Required skills: Chemical agents for decontamination, disinfectants, use of washers/sterilizers, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/trays assembly, dental, ear/nose/throat, general, laparoscopic, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, robotics, and urology
* Additional skills include: High-level disinfection (HLD), immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), biological and chemical indicators, scope/probe reprocessing, endoscopy, fiber optics, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, and proper selection of wrapping materials
* Knowledge with service lines of orthopedics, neurology, cardiovascular, and GI scope required
* Fast-paced, high acuity work environment at a Level 1 trauma center

With 456 staffed beds and a teaching hospital designation, the facility serves a high-acuity patient population across a broad range of specialty service lines including orthopedics, neurology, and cardiovascular care. The sterile processing department operates with 24 rooms and utilizes Epic for charting.
