Post Partum RN

Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour shift options available
* Weekends required
* Float required within the service area including NICU, Labor & Delivery, and Antepartum units
* 2 years of experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 3-4 patients
* Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, and adults
* Unit capacity of 22 beds with a daily census of 20
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, and pharmacy
* Required skills include: administration of blood and blood products, antepartum care, antihypertensives, antiseizure medications, cesarean section care, couplet care, episiotomy and incision care, fundus/lochia/perineum care, infant identification, IV antibiotics, magnesium sulfate therapy, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia management, phototherapy, postpartum care, postpartum hemorrhage management, pregnancy-induced hypertension, starting and maintaining IVs, thermoregulation, and vaccine administration
* 50-mile local radius enforced; local candidates not accepted

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated postpartum unit with 22 beds and a daily census of 20 patients, providing comprehensive maternity and newborn care services. The unit offers robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, and pharmacy, ensuring a well-rounded care environment. The facility supports a wide range of postpartum and neonatal procedures and maintains a collaborative care model across related units including NICU and Labor & Delivery.
