LDRP RN
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Shifts rotate between days and nights every 3 weeks
* Every third weekend required
* Every third holiday required
* 1 hour response time required for call or standby
* 1 orientation shift of 12 hours required
* Must have experience in Labor & Delivery and Med Surg/Pediatrics
* Critical access experience preferred
* No previous travel experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Care for OB patients including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Hyperbilirubinemia, Preterm Labor, and Triage
* Required to titrate drips including Pitocin, cardiac drips, Heparin, and sedation drugs
* Required to read own telemetry strips with support available from ICU and charge nurses
* Monitor tele using Phillips brand monitors
* Work with RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, and Airvo with RT available on call 24/7
* OB/Neonatologist and Anesthesia available on call
* Float to Med Surg/Pediatrics when OB census is low
* Follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios: 1:1 when inducing, 1:2 Postpartum
* Unit utilizes GE EFM system
* No dress code - any scrub color permitted
* Successful attributes for this unit include communication, motivation, and approachability
Facility:
This critical access hospital provides acute care services with a dedicated LDRP unit featuring 4 Labor and Delivery beds, 6 Postpartum beds, and 1 triage bed. The facility performs C-sections in the OR and maintains on-call OB/Neonatology and Anesthesia support. The unit is supported by a charge nurse on each shift and a nurse aide available during day hours, providing a collaborative environment for patient care.
