Opportunity:

RN - General Surgery

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
* 40 hours guaranteed per week
* On-call is required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Experience with Level 2 Adult and Pediatric Trauma center required
* Required to perform circulating duties in a Level II Trauma OR environment
* Work with patient populations ranging from neonates to geriatrics
* Perform and assist with procedures including trauma, neurosurgery (ACDF, spinal fusions, cranial procedures), Da Vinci Xi robotics, urology, vascular, open hearts, general surgery, trauma ortho, pediatrics, plastics, and ENT
* Provide comprehensive nursing services through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
* Coordinate care between other professionals as needed
* Nevada State RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Competency assessment (CMP) must be completed within 1 year of start date

Facility:

This facility is the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually across a 500-mile radius. The facility operates 18 ORs, 80 ER beds, and 800 inpatient beds, functioning at a volume and pace comparable to a Level 1 trauma center. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, comprehensive heart and cancer services, and groundbreaking brain and nerve care. The organization has pioneered numerous medical advancements in the region, including the first accredited heart failure center, the first Institute for Neurosciences, and the introduction of Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System technology.
