Opportunity:
Urgent Care Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
Job Details:
* Schedule: 2x12-hour shifts and 2x8-hour shifts per week (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday; off Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
* Monday: 7:45 AM 8:15 PM
* Thursday: 7:45 AM 8:15 PM
* Friday: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
* Saturday: 7:45 AM 4:15 PM
* Every Saturday is required; Sundays off
* No on-call required
* No floating between units; same location every shift
* Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT designations are not accepted
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting required
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Reliable personal transportation required; public transportation is not acceptable
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: TBD
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Required skills include:
- Vital signs: height/weight, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, vital signs, pulse oximetry, and vision testing
- Preparing for exams: recording history, medications, and allergies
- Setting up and assisting with procedures: nebulizer treatments
- Injections: immunizations and intramuscular injections
- Specimen collection: labeling specimens, throat specimens, and urine UA/clean catch
- Laboratory tests: blood glucose via glucometer, pregnancy testing, strep testing, and urine dipstick/urinalysis
- Office duties: stocking supplies
- Professional skills: administering medication, ear lavage, and rooming patients
* Patient age groups served: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Facility has 11 rooms/beds

The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and is equipped to handle a wide range of urgent care needs. The clinic operates with a structured team environment and maintains high standards for patient care across its 11-room facility.
