Job Details:

* Friday through Sunday shift schedule
* Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks; cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the contractor is assigned
* No on-call requirements
* Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
* Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand up to 5 hours
* Work in a Level 1 trauma center with a high acuity patient population and fast-paced work environment
* Knowledge of ortho, neuro, and cardiovascular service lines required; GI scope experience required
* Charting system: Epic; charting experience required
* Scrub color: Green
* Free parking available
* 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off
* Required certifications: BLS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Required skills: Chemical agents for decontamination, disinfectants, use of washers/sterilizers, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/trays assembly, dental, ear/nose/throat, general, laparoscopic, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, robotics, and urology
* Additional preferred skills include: Acute Hospital OR, automated endoscope reprocessors, bariatrics, biological indicators, bronchoscopes, cardiac, chemical indicators, cystoscopes, EGD scopes, endoscopes, endoscopy, equipment documentation, fiber optics, flex sigmoidoscopes, high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, ortho/total joints, podiatry, proper selection of wrapping materials, robotics, scope/probe reprocessing, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterile processing microsystem, Steris testing/monitoring, transplant, uteroscopes, and vascular

With 456 staffed beds and 630 total beds, the facility operates 24 sterile processing rooms and maintains a high daily tray volume of 500.
