Job Details:

* 5x8 evening shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
* 13-week assignment
* Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period
* Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
* No on-call responsibilities
* May float to Pacific Campus as needed
* 3-day orientation on day shift; Day 1 arrival at 8:00 AM?4:30 PM, Days 2 and 3 arrival at 6:00 AM?2:30 PM; Day 4 transitions to contracted shift
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
* Required certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Epic charting system experience preferred; no documentation in Epic required all documentation completed in SPM instrumentation management system
* Experience with supply knowledge and case picking required
* Preferred experience includes trauma and implants, pure processing sink inserts/flexi pumps, and children's hospital setting
* Preferred patient population experience: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
* Scrub color: Any (no reddish orange permitted)
* Parking costs covered by facility
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

Facility:

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center offering a full range of services including outpatient, interventional radiology, emergency, and inpatient care across two campuses totaling 571 staffed beds. The Sterile Processing Department specializes in neuro, ortho, robotics, and pediatrics, in addition to standard service lines including urology, general surgery, and GYN. With an average surgical case volume of 65 and a daily tray volume of 1,200, the department operates as a highly motivated, quality-focused, and unique teaching environment with 25 rooms.
