Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling including nights
* Weekend requirement: 3 weekends (Friday?Sunday) per 4-week schedule; may be scheduled for 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend
* No on-call responsibilities
* Floating required, including to Pediatric ED if necessary
* Patient ratios: Days 1:4?6, Nights 1:4?7; high ratios of 1:5?6 are common and may reach 1:8 during high volume or holidays
* Level I Trauma Center experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting experience required
* Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
* Preferred experience includes continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration, and triage
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH; ENPC preferred
* Michigan state license required and must be active by start date; compact license not accepted
* Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and triage
* Patient age groups include infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Orientation hours: 36
* Pre-approved time off maximum: 5 days per contract; all RTO must be submitted at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and serves as a center of excellence for bariatric, stroke, and cardiac care, as well as housing a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department. The emergency department features 62 private patient rooms, including 48 adult and 14 pediatric rooms, and 4 resuscitation rooms, utilizing a 5-level triage system and advanced nursing guidelines to expedite patient care. The department is supported by an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and on-site ER case management RNs, SANE RNs, and a ground Critical Care Transport team.
