Job Details:

* 4x10 evening shifts from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM
* 8-week assignment length
* Guaranteed 70 hours per 2-week period
* No weekends required, though possibly 1 weekend shift per schedule period
* No on-call required
* Float required between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* First-time travelers accepted
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Scrub color: Any (no reddish orange permitted)
* Parking is facility paid
* Patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics (1 year and older), and geriatrics
* Care for same-day surgery and inpatient admits, along with observation patients
* Surgeries include but are not limited to vascular, general, orthopedic, pediatric, urology, gynecology, neuro/spine, podiatry, ophthalmology, thoracic, trauma, bariatric, ENT, oral, plastics, cardiovascular lab, and interventional radiology
* ASPAN standards are followed
* Patient ratio of 1:3 on days
* Daily census of 80-100 patients across 60 rooms
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Required skills include pre/post operative procedures, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, narcotics and opioid analgesics, IV placement and maintenance, cardiac monitoring, pain assessment and management, and discharge instructions

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 571 staffed beds across both campuses. The facility serves a broad patient population and provides comprehensive surgical services spanning multiple specialties. It follows ASPAN standards and offers robust interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams, ensuring high-quality care across all units.
