Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour shift options available
* Unit accepts first-time travelers
* High Risk Labor & Delivery Unit covering OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery
* Care of laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-Sections and External Cephalic Versions
* Float to Postpartum as needed
* 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week contract period or every third weekend
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Charting system: Epic (preferred)
* 2 years of experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* 50 mile local radius applies - local candidates not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP
* Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
* Key skills include: magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin/oxytocin administration, neonatal resuscitation, external and internal fetal monitoring, epidural anesthesia support, postpartum hemorrhage management, and triage of obstetrical patients

Facility:

This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that provides comprehensive obstetric care, including OB Triage, Postpartum, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit is equipped to manage complex maternal and neonatal conditions, supporting a wide range of procedures from vaginal deliveries to cesarean sections and external cephalic versions. The facility maintains a robust interdisciplinary environment to ensure the highest level of care for both mothers and newborns.
