Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 day shift schedule available
* On-call required
* Weekends required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours policy)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Minimum 3 years of experience required with Level III NICU experience
* At least 1 year of NICU experience required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
* Daily census ranges from 3 to 6 patients
* 12-bed NICU unit caring for neonates 27 weeks and above
* Must be able to attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation in the OR and at deliveries
* Must be able to perform baby admissions
* Cares for all gestational ages at delivery for stabilization and transfer if under 27 weeks
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Scrub color: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
* Free parking available

* No floating required
* 24-hour orientation
* Interdisciplinary support includes Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Social Services, and Pharmacy
* Key clinical skills required include: administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, Bubble CPAP, central line blood draws, UAC/UVC management, high flow nasal cannula, neonatal dosage calculations, chest tube management, phlebotomy, IV placement and maintenance, phototherapy, and developmental care

The NICU unit is a Level III designation, supporting the care of premature and critically ill neonates with robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across all departments.
