Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Must work holidays in November and December; manager may consider 1 of the 3 holidays if it does not conflict with unit demands
* No on-call or standby requirement; extra shifts available but not required
* No floating requirements
* Patient ratios of 1:3 for standard acuity and 1:4 for low acuity patients
* Manage a high-volume department seeing approximately 170-200 patients per day
* Work with common diagnoses including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory, abdominal pain, and mental health patients
* Utilize Epic EMR system for charting
* Read telemetry strips with support from monitor technicians
* Nurse or ED Tech responsible for blood draws primarily, with lab assistance available for difficult draws
* ED Techs perform EKGs; respiratory therapy manages ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and ABGs
* 1 year of experience in a larger trauma setting required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS
* Washington state or Compact nursing license required
* Profile review followed by phone interview with manager
* Any color professional scrubs accepted
* No RTO will be considered during the first full week of assignment
* Orientation includes 1 day of compliance information (8-10 hours) and 1 day of department orientation (12 hours)

Facility:

This acute care facility features a comprehensive emergency and trauma center with 56 beds, expandable to 60-70 with hall beds. The department includes a 6-bed fast track area, a separate triage area with 5 beds, 18 dedicated holding beds for inpatient placement, and a locked psychiatric hallway with 6 private treatment rooms. The facility is supported by in-house security, ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, house supervisors, ED techs, and CNAs, ensuring a well-rounded team environment for patient care.
