Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* Coordinate and implement individualized plans of care for each patient using the nursing process
* Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes
* Utilize prioritization and critical thinking skills with decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment
* Work with minimal supervision while complying with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines
* Collaborate with healthcare team using evidence-based practices to coordinate patient care including transfer, discharge, and referral
* Identify barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations
* Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance
* Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires
* Practice according to professional and ethical standards as noted in the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
* Adhere to organizational attire and dress code in accordance with policies and procedures
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, STABLE, and NRP
* Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license required
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
* Two years of hospital nursing experience preferred
* One year of Emergency Department or Critical Care Nursing experience preferred
