Opportunity:

CT Technologist

Job Details:

* Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures
* Position patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment
* Perform all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or coordinate protocols with the Radiologist
* Assist radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures
* Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate and label processed images appropriately
* Transmit images to Image Archival System
* Dispense and/or order oral contrast to patients for CT scans
* Demonstrate proficiency in IV placement and safe IV contrast administration
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR work
* Practice radiation safety adhering to ALARA standards
* Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate with service engineers as needed
* Maintain accurate patient records in EHR including charging procedures and supplies
* Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required
* Assist, train, or cross-train imaging staff members as directed
* Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
* Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
* Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities, adjusting schedules, and taking calls, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
* Required: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
* Required: ARRT registration in Radiology (R) including Computed Tomography (CT)
* Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* Preferred: Two (2) years of prior experience as a practicing CT Technologist
* Preferred: Cross-training in other modalities including MRI, DEXA, and Mammography
* Preferred: Experience with electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS
